multi-touch music making

Last change: September 17th, 2009

At HMI, we have had a lot of students making multi-touch interfaces. One of the most succesful is FeelSound. With it, you can play acoustic instruments (the recorder, trompet, piano, violin, contrabass and drums) with ease. FeelSound has been demonstrated at ICT Delta, Utrecht (NL), at INTETAIN 2009, Amsterdam (NL) and at ACE 2009, Athens (GR). Check out the demo reel:

wiimote

Last change: November 17th, 2009

In the end of 2007 I started trying out some small experiments with the Nintendo Wiimote. Lots of students have done projects with this device since then. Read a brief tutorial on how to get started, try out my Jmol demonstrator for free, download an ISO 9241-9:2000 test for Wiimotes here. See my research page for a full list of student projects.
